Lindsey Kimber, began as Executive Director of Glacial Lakes Area Development, Inc. (GLAD) in May 2017. Lindsey’s background includes over seventeen years of experience in training, business development, and operations. This includes seven years of experience consulting and providing regulatory guidance to business owners and managers. Lindsey was born in Britton and as a child lived in Havana, ND. Her family moved to Minnesota where she spent much of her life before her recent move to Britton. Much of her childhood was spent visiting her grandparents in Britton and Kidder. Lindsey is looking forward to getting out into the glacial lakes area communities and working one on one with businesses. Lindsey’s education background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Psychology and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. GLAD is a non-profit 501©3 organization and the regional economic development organization serving the Greater Marshall County area and continues to grow capacity and gain momentum for the five towns it serves including Britton, Langford, Veblen, Eden, and Lake City. Cultivating entrepreneurs and strengthening businesses are areas of focus for GLAD while diligently pursuing economic and community development opportunities for sustaining these communities. GLAD has an active revolving loan fund, promotes tourism and hospitality programs, engages in youth activities and retention, and is a valued asset to regional businesses by connecting resources to those seeking assistance. GLAD works for public, nonprofit, and private entities by offering various programs, education, or referrals to other resource providers in the area. GLAD is known for its strong partnership capacity and statewide connections for small businesses and large corporations.
